Alright, so I went to the hospital last week 'cause my asthma started up due to the cold. Anyways, the cool part about this story is that when we got to the hospital, they had an area called "Clinic for VIP." A little background to chinese hospitals, very crowded, extremely long lines to fill prescriptions (no rite aids here), long waits, and overall very uncomfortable. However, thru those "magical" VIP doors, its a whole different world. You pay extra money (read: foreigners) and you get to sit in plush leather couches, no wait time, and someone else goes & grabs the meds for you. Capitalism at work.
Onos!! I have SARS.
So I think I've come down w/ the cold or flu. I'm stuck here inside and can't go out :(. Oh wells, hopefully it'll blow over in a few.
In china
Finally arrived in shanghai last nite. Long ass trip, i think my ass was numb by the end. Also on the plane, there was this cute ass chick, but I think she was like 16 or 17.
As far as here is concerned, its mostly like how I remembered, altho our place has more furniture now, pretty neat stuff. I'll be posting pics soon, for those of you that care.

Pics are now posted. I also forgot to mention that at the airport here, when we got out, they had these infrared sensors setup, with temperature readouts. My guess is that they're looking for sars folks. I found that to be highly amusing.
Last nite, saw grandparents on both sides of the fam, looked @ their new places, and went out to dinner. Foods good, just way too oily. The new apt's are pretty cool, very well furnished, altho it is lacking that "homely" quality.
